Diagnosis of tooth decay needs attention to details

Tooth decay undermines tooth structure, symptoms are often not obvious until a later stage, similar to Periodontitis.

Figure 1 only shows some shadow on the intact tooth surfaces, until it is opened up to find out how much decay was underneath Fig 2.
