Full mouth restoration refers to the process of restoring all the teeth in your mouth at the same time. You may have multiple different dental problems or one major concern. Either way, you need a full mouth restoration when most or all of your teeth have problems.
A full mouth restoration could be confused with a smile makeover because both are designed to treat every problem in your mouth, whether restorative or cosmetic.
The primary difference between the two is that a smile makeover is usually a procedure you choose to have to improve your appearance, while a restoration is something you need for your oral and physical health and well-being.
Dr. Qing examines your mouth, takes X-rays, and thoroughly evaluates your teeth, gums, jawbones, and temporomandibular joints.
He devotes extensive time to determining all your dental needs, listening to your concerns, and precisely planning all the repairs you need so they can be coordinated and done in a logical manner.
The goal is to complete all your work as quickly as possible, but a full restoration can take multiple visits spread out over months. The time frame depends on the extent of the dental care you need.
During a full mouth restoration, Dr. Qing restores teeth that are injured, decayed, or severely worn. He replaces missing teeth and treats gum disease.
Cosmetic concerns, such as stained and chipped teeth or gaps between teeth, are always important and are included in your full mouth restoration.
To restore your dental health, Dr. Qing may need to perform many different procedures, including:
Cavities and other dental problems are treated. You may need fillings, implants, porcelain veneers, crowns, bridges, or dentures.
If you have gingivitis or periodontitis, you need scaling, root planing, and possibly other procedures, depending on the extent of the gum disease. In severe cases, you could need a bone graft to strengthen eroded or weakened bones.
As a prosthodontist, Dr. Qing has training in all the techniques needed to restore your mouth. At Bucks Dental Health and Esthetics, they strive to practice at the highest ethical, caring and technical standards and are dedicated to life-long oral health, aesthetics, and general wellbeing.
Dr. Qing’s philosophy is “High-quality dental care for more people through prevention and long-term relationship.” Therefore, he sets low fees and offers discounts to veterans, students, patients aged 65 and older, and those without dental insurance.
