Dental Bridge Maintenance and Home Care

Maintenance and home care are very important to ensure the long-term success of Fixed Dental Prosthesis (dental bridge). In this video, Dr Qing, a Prosthodontist practicing in the Doylestown PA area, has demonstrated the technique to clean underneath the bridge.

Recommended product

  1. GUM easy thread floss ( to be used by itself)
  2. Floss threader (pretty much any brand) together with fluffy regular floss like ( LISTERINE Woven floss) or Superfloss ( OralB)
  3. OralB Superfloss is traditionally recommended in text book, however, authors have found it is too soft on the end to go into tight space by itself, but if the space is big, it is definitely a good option.

A resin-bonded fixed partial denture is also known as the Maryland bridge. If designed and executed precisely, it can be an excellent alternative to dental implants or bridges, especially for kids and young adults.
